download / save the plot
For example, one may need to insert that generated plot in a powerpoint etc
2 votesI’ve changed the implementation for file downloads to a cross-browser solution. File downloads should now work consistently across all browsers (except for IE 9).

Up arrow key in shell
when you flip through the command line history it should pop up with the cursor at the end of the command. (Instead of highlighting the entire last command.)
1 voteThis improvement is live on the staging server and will be pushed live by the end of the week.

I just found this, very nice, thank you
I had to use Opera to get this feedback poke to work ...didn't seem to work in Chrome. My interest is the controls toolbox, first stuff I tried worked fine...

Allow download of wav files
There doesn't seem to be a way to download a wav file after it has been created.
Can you add this functionality?
1 voteOkay, this should be working. You can download audio files (or any type of file now) by clicking on it in the file list, and then clicking the “download” button (which previously worked only for script files). If Octave generates an audio file and you don’t see it in the list, you might have to press the “refresh files” button first.

Change default ratio between editor & interactive session
Thanks for your awesome app! It's amazing.
Small GUI suggestion: after a user logs in, could you make the editor window wider? Basically, that's why a user logs in, to have access to files. It's a shame to have to resize everything every time you sign in. A 50-50 ratio with interactive session would work. And maybe it would be better to have the vars on the far right, rather than in center, as I believe that view is less used than the others.
BTW, the REPL is really good! Thanks again!
1 voteFinally! This feature is live on the staging server, in addition to a lot of other new features:
http://octave-online.net:3000/
The panels are scaled using a FlexBox layout, and it remembers your width settings between sessions. Sorry for taking so long!

Remote file load
Add possibility to load files from client PC. I have win7 and have huge number of old data and script files which I cannot use locally after upgrading from WinXP. Cygwin plot features do not work and I have no room on my desktop for another PC with Linux.

Upon running the following script the image of the matrix appears together with the colorbar, but the colorbar is upside down, i.e. according to the colorbar zero is yellow and 1 is dark purple, but in the matrix its the otherr way around.
The script:
P=[1, 0, 0, 0, 0;
0.6, 0, 0.4, 0, 0;
0, 0.6, 0, 0.4, 0;
0, 0, 0.6, 0, 0.4;

payload
while doing simple problems for practice, I get a message that the payload is too large, would really like to continue using, but am unable to keep up with my class using only this program
1 voteThe payload was increased last September as planned, to 5KB per command. If 5KB is not enough you can open a new ticket. Thanks for your support.

allow > 1 plots
after 1 plot, the plotting stops (or I;m too stupid to make it not stop)
1 voteThanks for reporting the issue! We’ve investigated and released a patch. You should now be able to make multiple plots in the same session.

support 'clc' and/or 'home' functions
These functions are supposed to clear the terminal window. Of course, I could just reload the whole octave-online.net page, but it takes much longer :)
1 voteThanks for the suggestion! Running “clc” will now clear the console window.

plot legend error
The legend command does not recognize the location parameter. Error message states invalid value = northeast when no location is specified or invalid = southwest when legend( ..., 'location','southwest') was specified.
The legend was display at its default northeast location; however, a text string with absolute (x,y) location was not. The text string was display when the legend command was removed.1 voteThe issue has been resolved. Thanks for reporting this and for using Octave Online.
