Provide MATLAB equivalent functions for octave functions in the Main menu
When I tried to execute a MATLAB .m file which is successfully executed in the MATLAB, it shows that some particular functions are not available in Octave. If you provide the list of equivalent functions which we use in MATLAB, we can replace them with new octave syntax by modifying the program. At the same time we can learn the usage of octave functions very fast and it is useful to beginners also.

add file syncing with Google Drive or Dropbox
Having files sync automatically with cloud storage would be great for me so that I can use Matlab on a desktop at work and continue on the same file later from a laptop at home.

Students should be able to write code to answer a certain prompt, and Octave Online should tell you whether or not the answer is correct.

Zooming support on plot

Better support for folders
Folders are supported in a minimal capacity right now: you can move a file into a folder by clicking the rename button and entering something like "example/script.m", which will create the folder "example" and move "script.m" into that folder. However, the graphical user interface is minimal; for example, there should be a way to create folders and use drag-and-drop to interact with them.

This would in tern enable building interactive plots using "ginput" and related functions.

I really like the git sync option!! Sometimes, it could be updating faster though. That would be really nice.

Script editor with debugger
It would be cool to have a script editor where we could place breakpoints and debug the script step by step.

Do not timeout when editing scripts.
When I'm editing my script, I get the timeout warnings and I have to run some trivial command in the shell to avoid timeout. It would be nice if it does not timeout when i'm working in the script editor.

I visit this site after attending Machine Learning course on coursera, and this combination of online class and tool really facilitates my learning.
